We had 28 children attend the Christmas party of all ages from 16 to 3 years of age. They were all given a meal, 2 hours of bowling, Christmas hats , played some party games and finally they got to meet and have their photo taken with Father Christmas, who gave them all a present each, Their individual photos with Father Christmas were e-mailed to them. Response from the e-mailed photos was they all enjoyed the afternoon and had a wonderful time! We must express our thanks and gratitude to Dillip Tosar for being one of the jollyiest Father Christmas we have had in years. We had a total of 33 entries in the pool tournament. The under 16's played a round robin with Shyam Nathawani winning. In the Doubles & Singles Open a knock-out system was used with Tej Nathwani taking the winners title in the Open and Vishal Savjani/Amar Kanani taking the Doubles title. Total completion time was 5 hours with three tables being used. Our thanks to Sundeep Khetani ,Yetin Dattani & Alpesh Nathawni (Sundeeps Cousin) for organising the pool tournament for us.
In total we had nearly 90 people attend the event with a lot of the mums taking part in a bowling competition of their own, dads playing cards and trying their luck on the pool table with their kids getting the better of them. Other people just came to enjoy the day and helped out whilst making new friends.
The staff at Lakeside Superbowl thanked me for the lovely crowd. The children were well behaved, The place was left tidy, There was no trouble or bad behaviour. Nice to see a variety of ages in one function and everything finishing at the agreed time. We have sent a letter of thank you to Lakeside Superbowl for their services.
My thank goes to all who attended the function and making it a wonderful afternoon. Hope everyone enjoyed it. For those who were not able to attend, we hope to see you next year. Rupin Vadera, Vice Prsident, SLAB
